Isastreidae Solomko, 1888, p. 165 is a junior synonym (available and invalid), see Thecosmiliidae Duncan, 1884, p. 80.

Koby (1889, p. 568) created the family Isastreides which was later used in the Latinized form by, e.g., Wells (1933, p. 96 [178]) and Eguchi (151, p. 27). It, however, represents a junior homonym of the family-level taxon created by Solomko (1888) a year earlier.
