Diagnosis

Radial elements (biseptal sheets in the case of the unique genus of the family) are subcompact frequently anastomosed at their inner edge. The inner edge is jagged by the dissociation of trabecules producing paliform teeth (in the glossary ?). The rare pores appear here. The lateral faces are covered of granules arranged in vertical rows. The granules are acute or horizontally flattened. The distal edge shows regular teeth. Trabecules are arranged in fan system and their structure is branching. Their diameter is around 75-250 _m. The unique genus of the family has an incomplete synapticulotheca. Large tabuloid dissepiments. Styliform columella more or less flattened.
