This subgenus was originally described as a subgenus of Cyathoceris Moseley.

Type Specimen: Holotype; MNHN ; Verified; Dry Preserved
Type Locality: Peyrehorade, Landes, France (Oligocene)
The holotype is reported to be in the Matheron collection (Muséum d'histoire naturelle de Marseille). However, it was found at the MNHN (paleontology collections) in 2012. It has no number.
