Description
Solitary trochoid corallum. Epitheca present. Deep excentric calice. Radial elements are compact bicuneiform straight to slightly curved costo-septa. Major septa anastomosed at the center, others free. Distal edge with large teeth or festoons, near the axial edge some small paddle teeth. Ornamentation of lateral faces made of small granules in rows perpendicular to the distal edge with several rows for one large teeth of the distal edge. Major septa join at the centrum to make a probable parietal columella. Endotheca with dissepiments steeply inclined near the wall. Wall of unknown nature but distinct of the epitheca which covers the costae.
Remarks
The lectotype of the type-species is strongly silicified and the characterisation of the columella and of the wall are difficult for this reason. Only one specimen known.
Distribution
- Western Europe; Late Jurassic
