parricidal increase
Summary
(literally 'father-killing') increase intracalicular increase in which the identity of the parent corallite is lost, i.e. it splits into two or more new corallites, none of which is a clear continuation of the parent. This is usually inferred from discontinuity of the parent's corallite centre in relation to the centres of all the descendant corallites. See also Non-parricidal.
