Type Locality: Aptian-Lower Albian of Japan ('Orbitolina sandstone').

The holotype of the type species is housed at TUM (Tokyo) under 35258

Classification

Diagnosis

Colonial, massive, meandroid. Gemmation intracalicinal, resulting in meandroid series separated by tholiform, sometimes tectiform collines, and ambulacrae. Corallites generally indistinct. Costosepta compact, nonconfluent, spinose and ?carinate laterally. Columella absent. Endothecal dissepiments subhorizontal. Wall septoparathecal.

Remarks

Affinities. Similar to Eugyra but shows montlivaltiid structures and calicinal series separated by ambulacrae.
