Type Locality: Kimmeridgian (Upper Jurassic) from Nattheim (Germany)
The unique syntype is a badly preserved worn specimen. It is the only specimen known of the genus. No section available.
Homonyms
Description
Solitary or branch of a phaceloid or dendroid corallum with subcylindrical corallites. Epitheca absent or eroded, costae ?. Radial elements are compact free unequal straight. Distal edge, inner edge not observed lateral faces with granules (or carinae ?). No palis. Microstructure unknown. Hexameral symmetry not deciphered, bilateral symmetry with an elongated fossa which could be posterior to the life (bioerosion, diagenesis ?). Endotheca made of abundant dissepiments. Columella absent, synapticulae not observed, wall probably eroded.
Remarks
One nominal species. One specimen. This genus could be an eroded small branch of a Thecosmilia…As it is not recognisable it should be kept in oblivion.
