Clavismilia

Alloiteau, 1952, p. 651

Clavismilia Alloiteau, 1952, p. 651 is a nomen dubium (unavailable).

Type Species

Clavismilia lacvivieri Alloiteau, 1952, p. 651; Original Designation Alloiteau, 1952, p. 651

Type Specimen: Holotype; ; Not Traced; Unknown

Type Locality: Lower Campanian of France.

The only mentioning of this taxon ever produced was given by Alloiteau (1952, p. 651). This documentation is insufficient in that it remains unclear how this taxon differs from e.g., Parasmilia, Dasmosmilia, or genera of very closely related groups like, e.g., Ceratotrochus. Because no type material was indicated by Alloiteau nor has any possible type material ever been found, the taxonomic position of Clavismilia remains unknown.
