Type Locality: Upper Jurassic, beds with Pteroceras oceani, Lindner Berge, Limmer (Germany).
Classification
Diagnosis
Thamnasterioid to phaceloid corallum with few cylindrical corallites. Epitheca present. Microsolenid radial elements. Synapticules present. Central fossa.
Comparisons
Mycetaraea is very close of Dermoseris and has anteriority. Mycetaraea can be kept at least (see Geyer 1954, p. 169) as a morphogenus name useful to designate the special astogenic stage intermediate between solitary (Trocharaea) and fully developed phaceloid (Dermoseris).
