Type Locality: Cretaceous of Jamaica (Portland).
The holotype of the type species is housed at NHM (London) under R.30284.

Diagnosis
Colonial, massive, thamnasterioid-meandroid. Gemmation by fission. Corallite centres distinct, arranged in short series, separated by tholiform to tectiform collines. Septa confluent, subcompact to perforated, appearing ragged in section. Synapticulae numerous. Endothecal dissepiments sparse. Columella spongy. No wall between the corallites.
