Type Locality: Upper Turonian of France (Uchaux, Vaucluse).
The holotype of the type species is housed at MNHN (Paris) under 7095, d'Orbigny collection.
Colonial, meandroid. Gemmation intracalicinal-terminal, producing simple or forked calicinal series, separated by often tectiform, occasionally tholiform, collines. Calicinal centres distinct to subdistinct. Septa irregularly perforated, granulated laterally. Peripheral ends of septa irregularly bent upward. Columella parietal-subpapillose. Synapticulae abundant. Endothecal dissepiments sparse. Wall synapticulothecal, incomplete.
Similar to Meandrophyllia but lacks costae and forms long calicinal series.
