Classification
Description
Flabelloid colonial corallum. Basal part round and smooth. Distal part with a compressed series and prominent continuous costae. Rhipidogyrid septa. Strong bilateral symmetry. Endotheca poorly developed. Lamellar columella. Synapticulae absent.
Comparisons
Rhipidosmilia differs from Rhipidogyra by the presence of distinct centers in the valley. It differs from Aplosmilia, which is really phaceloid.
