Summary

level of modularity within a hierarchical structure of modularity. First modular level consists of corallites and polyps within a colony. Second level consists of grouped arrangements of those polyps and corallites (e.g. into polycentric/polystomodaeal groups like meandroid valley systems, or into branching axes) ... and so on.
