Summary

adj. Marginothecal primary wall structure consisting of trabecular elements. It grows up from the basal plate, and is continuous in structure with neighbouring septa. In transverse section, it consists of a dark line of closely adjacent trabecular elements accompanied by a layer of calcareous fibres on the internal side.
