Type Specimen: Syntype; ?; Lost; Unknown

Massive lamellar meandroid corallum. Epitheca absent or rudimentary. Rudimentary columella.
Remarks
The type material is lost and as we know nothing about the septal structure of Oroseris. This is the reason why authors put Oroseris in synonymy of Comoseris (Vaughan and Wells 1943, Wells 1956) or with doubt in synonymy with Microphyllia (Alloiteau,1957). Anyway, this doubtful genus cannot be used anymore.
Distribution
- Western Europe; Late Jurassic
