Aquitanastraea Chevalier, 1954, p. 139 is a junior synonym (available and invalid), see Montastraea Blainville, 1830, p. 339.
Although originally described as a new genus, this taxon was indicated as a subgenus of Heliastraea in Chevalier (1962).
