Type Species

Type Specimen: Syntype; NHMUK ; Verified; Dry Preserved
Type Locality: Recent: New Hebrides, 115 m.
3 syntypes. Neohelia was synonymized with Madrepora by Wells (1984), a view amplified and subscribed to by Cairns (1999). The type species is well described and illustrated by Pratt (1900) and Cairns and Zibrowius (1997).
