Type Species

Type Specimen: Holotype; ; Verified; Dry Preserved
Type Locality: Paleocene of Senegal.
The holotype of the type species is housed at MNHN (Paris) under M05333, Tessier collection.
Classification
Remarks
Re-study of the type and original materials of Glenarea and Lithostrotionoides by Baron-Szabo (2006, p. 79 ff., pl. 16, figs. 3a, b) revealed that their skeletal elements closely corrended to each other, suggesting that they are synonymous.
