Lasmophyllia Orbigny, 1849, p. 6 is a junior synonym (available and invalid), see Montlivaltia Lamouroux, 1821, p. 78.

The Jurassic type species is traditionnally treated as a Montlivaltia, but the type material is not known

Caryophyllia dilatata Michelin, 1843; Monotypy Orbigny, 1849

Type Specimen: Syntype; ; Not Traced; Unknown

Type Locality: Oxfordian (Late Jurassic) of France (St Mihiel and Maxey sur Vaize, Meuse).
