Type Locality: Upper Santonian of France (Les Corbiere, Aude).

Classification

Diagnosis

Colonial, massive, thamnasterioid. Gemmation intracalicinal. Costosepta radially or bilaterally arranged, compact with dissociated axial ends, confluent, subconfluent and nonconfluent, coarsely granulated marginally. Columella absent or formed by lamellar segments. Synapticulae present, rare. Endothecal dissepiments sparse, thick. Wall synapticulothecal and parathecal, porous.

Remarks

Affinities. Similar to Cyathoseris, but with confluent to nonconfluent septa, porous synapticulotheca and paratheca.
