Type Locality: Upper Jurassic of Switzerland.

Diagnosis
Solitary, cuneiform or turbinate, fixed. Costosepta compact, exsert, granulate. Axial ends of septa cuneiform to rhopaloid. Microstructural mid-septal line is straight, irregularly wavy, or zig-zag. Columella lamellar. Wall septothecal and parathecal. Endothecal dissepiments generally large vesicular. Epitheca present.
