A transverse thin section has been made in the holotype.The holotype is accompanied by a label: "Montliv. Vasiformis, Corallien Tonnerre (Yonne), coll. Michelin."
Description
Solitary trochoid corallum. Externally smooth. Cutting calicular edge. Calice subcircular infundibuliform with a deep calicular platform. Radial elements are, compact, free septa s. s. , strongly attenuated, straight or very slightly curved at their inner edge. Lateral faces and distal edge smooth. Some lonsdaleioid septa. Perfect hexameral arrangement. Bilateral symmetry marked by the elongated fossa and the short dorso-ventral S1. Endotheca made of steeply inclined tabulae leaving a wide porosity. As the endotheca is in continuity with septa the wall can be said paraseptothecal. No synapticule, no palus.
