Type Species

Monticularia styriana Oppenheim, 1930, p. 224, pl. 14, fig. 4, pl. 18, figs. 1 and 6.; Original Designation Oppenheim, 1930, p. 224

Type Specimen: Neotype; ; Not Traced; Unknown

Type Locality: Upper Turonian to Campanian of Austria (Gosau Group)

Because the holotype was lost, Beauvais (1982, vol. I, p. 88) chose a neotyope from the Michelin collection housed at MNHN (Paris).
