Classification

Remarks

Because Phyllastraea de Fromentel represents a junior homonym of Phyllastraea Dana, Alloiteau (1952) created the genus name Ficariastrea for the former. M. Beauvais (1982, vol. I, p. 246) provided a more detailed description of the genus Ficariastraea. Based on both the original documentation in de Fromentel (1879) and the subsequent description given by M. Beauvais (1982) it was suggested that Ficariastrea represended a junior synonym of Agathelia Reuss, 1854 (Baron-Szabo, 2002, p. 187; Baron-Szabo, 2003, p. 118).

Distribution

  • Central Europe; Late Cretaceous
