Type Species

Felixigyra deangelisi Prever, 1909, p. 118, pl. 12, figs. 7-8; Subsequent Designation Wells, 1936, p. 112

Type Specimen: Lectotype; ; Not Traced; Unknown

Type Locality: Upper Aptian of Italy (Abruzzi).

The type material of the type species is housed at PU (Torino) under 18027 and 18028. The specimen PU 18028 has just recently been designated as lectotype (Loeser, 2010, p. 192).

Diagnosis

Like Eugyra de Fromentel, but calicinal series short-meandroid (often having less than 20 septa) to hydnophoroid.
