Extratentaular budding produces colonies of various shapes including vasiform, explanate, foliate, tabulate, encrusting, and hemispherical; corallites long, unifacially disposed; epitheca absent; septa arranged normally; columella well-developed, solid or spongy; zooxanthellate.
