Eusthenotrochus Wells, 1935, p. 530 is a junior synonym (available and invalid), see Sphenotrochus Milne Edwards and Haime, 1848, p. 240.
Originally described as a subgenus of Sphenotrochus, synonymnized by Cairns (1997).
