Eumadrepora Brook, 1893 p. 23 is a nomen oblitum (available and invalid).

Subgenus name within genus Acropora Oken, 1815 not used since its description; never elevated to genus. As Boschma 1961 points out, Brook placed Millepora muricata Linnaeus, 1758 first in the list of species he included in this subgenus. That species is now the ICZN officially recognised type species of genus Acropora, and hence the nominotypic subgenus Acropora. See: China, W.
