Classification
Diagnosis
Corallum ceratoid, with a blunt base, circular in cross section; GCD up to 4 mm; theca imperforate, but pitted internally; costae broad and flat, overhanging intercostal grooves, originating by trifurcation; septa hexamerally arrange din 3 cycles; a crown of 6 P2; columella papillose.
Comparisons
Unique in having internally pitted theca and laterally overhanging costae.
Remarks
This genus and family was monographed by Cairns (1997), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Monophyletic.
