Type Specimen: Holotype; ?; Lost; Unknown
Type Locality: Upper Jurassic from Menton (now in France)
The type specimen is a holotype by monotypy. The type material was searched in Pisa and Nice, without success
Diagnosis
Like Diplocoenia but distinct by the denticulation of septa and the spongious columella. (initial diagnosis)
Remarks
The genus is based on a single sample and was never used subsequently nor revised after d'Achiardi 1880.
