Classification
Description
Lamellar massive dimorphastreoid corallum without holotheca. Radial elements are perfectly confluent biseptal sheets, probably subcompact, pennular, equally thick, anastomosing especially when the direction of septa is perpendicular to the horizontal radial axes of maximal growth of the colony. Distal edge moniliform, discontinuous menianae. Lateral faces not observed. Dense equal costae. The axial zone shows a well defined depressed fossa in depth of which some small trabeculae appear. Synapticules probably present. Endotheca not observed. No wall.
Comparisons
Differs from Astraeofungia by the circumoral budding.
