Classification
Remarks
According to Gill and Russo (1973), the genus Cyclastraea Alloiteau is a solitary montlivaltiid taxon that is characterized by the occurence of a papillose columella and the lack of synapticulae, thus very closely corresponding to the genus Gyroseris Reuss. Therefore, their synonymy is suggested.
Distribution
- Central Europe; Late Cretaceous
