The holotype of the type species is housed at MNHN (Paris) under R.10976.

Diagnosis

Colonial, thamnasterioid. Gemmation intracalicinal. Septa subcompact, with few perforations at the axial ends. Distal margin strongly ornamented. Septal flanks have granulae subperpendicular to the distal margin. No columella. Synapticulae abundant. Endothecal dissepiments thick, sparse. No wall between the corallites. Microstructure granulo-lamellar.
