Diagnosis

Corallum solitary, ceratoid to trochoid, free or attached by a small pedicel often augmented by a contiguous basal rootlet; theca thick, covered with epitheca; upper outer edges of septa join theca below wall thus forming a continuous gutter; paliform lobes may be before S2; columella compose of twisted lamellae.
