Classification
Diagnosis
Solitary. Fossa long and narrow. Septa differentiated into 4 size orders. Lateral septal micromorphology in the form granulation.Mid-septal line zigzag. Endotheca concave at the centrum, built of tabuloid large dissepiments.
Description
The type species is described in Roniewicz 1996:36. Two other species are recognizable in descriptions of Montlivaltia frechi Haas,1909 and Montlivaltia stylophylloides Vinassa de Regny,1915.
Comparisons
The genus resembles Distichophyllia Cuif in the shape of coralla, but differs from it in septal apparatus composed of septa of only 4 size orders and in its rare, tabuloid endotheca.
Remarks
Three species are known.
