Pleurocyathus Moseley, 1881, p. 159 is a junior synonym (available and invalid), see Conotrochus Seguenza, 1864, p. 83 (477).
Also a junior homonym of Pleurocyathus Keferstein, 1859 that in turn is a junior synonym of Conocyathus Orbigny 1849.

Type Locality: Recent;:off Banda Island, Indonesia, 366 m (Challenger station 194)
Type species best described by Cairns (1995).
