Diagnosis

Phaceloid or colonial corals; increase intracalicular without skeletal connections between centers, dividing wall based on septa; trabeculae monoaxial a/o incompletely fused in the midseptal zone; cup-like pennules and/or menianes with a rim directed upwards; septal inner margins with regular trabecular projections; columella solid, monoaxial, or composed of trabecular projections, or lacking; dissepiments vesiculous; intercorallite wall septothecal; holotheca.
