Diagnosis
Solitary. Septal calcification centers closely spaced but usually well separated. Septal faces ornamented. Wall epithecate but occasionally with strong hispid ornamentation (hispidotheca); thecal depressions on inner side and corresponding pulverization spots on outer side of the theca.
