Diagnosis

Colonial, massive. Gemmation extracalicinal. Corallites cylindrical to elliptical, generally united by a perithecal wall. Septa costate, compact, formed by simple divergent trabeculae, septal margins covered by small, rounded denticles, septal flanks are ornamented with granules that are alinged in thin rows that are sub-perpendicular to the distal bord. Endothecal dissepiments vesicular, numerous, thin. Columella essential or parietal and rudimentary. Wall parathecal. [a subfamily of Phyllocoeniinae; see Alloiteau, 1952, p. 633]
