Turbinolopsis

Lamouroux, 1821, p. 84

Turbinolopsis Lamouroux, 1821, p. 84 is a nomen dubium (unavailable).

Turbinolopsis was put with doubt in synonymy of Microsolena by Wells 1956 despite the fact it is a solitary coral. It is more probably but doubtfully a senior synonym of Trocharaea. The last citation is from Bronn 1837, then Turbinolopsis could be considered as a nomen oblitum. As the unique type specimen is lost, we prefer to consider Turbinolopsis as a nomen dubium despite the Lamouroux's figures, incredibly detailed for a publication of 1821.
