Spongiopsammia Kuzmicheva, 1987, 153 is a not a scleractinian.
Invalid: an unrecognizable genus
Type Species
S. amitrovi Kuzmicheva, 1987, p. 154, pl. 27, fig. 3; Original Designation
Type Specimen: Holotype; MGU N185/885; Verified; Dry Preserved
Type Locality: Late Eocene: Southern Ukraine.
Although described as a dendrophylliid, aspects of septa and columella suggest that it is probably a coralline demosponge (see Cairns, 2001).
