Classification
Diagnosis
Original diagnosis: Moderate sized, phaceloid to plocoid. Corallites free at the summit and closely united by costae, corallite centers united by confluent septocostae. Septa imperforate, consisting of simple trabeculae with sclerodermites diverging laterally and producing granulations; columella papillar; dissepiments rare. Colonies formed by intramural budding with lateral branching.
Comparisons
After original text:In colony shape, the new genus is similar to Margarosmilia Volz and Distichophyllum Cuif but differs from them in having papillose columella and septotheca.
