The subgenus was figured in de Gregorio 1887 and 1899 but was never used nor revised subsequently.
Description
Compressed corallum, with an elliptical section. Lamellar thin columella. Primary septa regular and thickened near the columella but without contact with it. Secondary septa not observed. Endothecal and exothecal tissues highly developed. Shape of calice apparently convex (perhaps by erosion). Looks laterally like a Montlivaltia and like a Rhipidogyra seen from above.
