Diagnosis
Corallum solitary, ceratoid to subcylindrical, attached; epitheca well developed; septa arranged normally; columella absent; azooxanthellate.
Comparisons
Differs from Bathypsammia in lacking a columella
Remarks
This genus and family were monographed by Cairns (2001), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Genus monotypic.
