Type Locality: Tithonian (Upper Jurassic)- Berriasian (Lower Cretaceous) from Štramberk (Czech Republic)
The holotype is a solitary corallum with a transverse thin section n°13943. A paratype HF636 with its thin section 62936 exists
Classification
Description
Solitary cylindroconical corallum with an elliptical to circular transverse section. Costae alternating in thickness and height, covered by a thick striated epitheca. Radial elements are compact costosepta, mostly free and straight, bicuneiform, unequal. Ornamentation of small dense granules on the lateral faces of septa. No palis. Microstructure with a mid-septal line. Hexameral symmetry very clear, but bilateral symmetry also marked by lamellar columella. Major septa often reach the columella. Columella short, thick and free at the top. Endotheca made of dissepiment. No synapticula. Epicostal paratheca.
Remarks
Only one species described up to now. (three specimens known)
