Type Species

Type Specimen: Holotype; MNHN Mo5080; Verified; Dry Preserved
Type Locality: Maastrichtian of Madagascar.
Remarks on the genus given by Cairns (2001) and Baron-Szabo (2002 and 2008). Monotypic.
Classification
Diagnosis
Corallum solitary, patellate, free; costae poorly developed; epitheca absent; septa arranged normally, but higher cycle septa anastomose with adjacent septa; columella well developed.
Comparisons
Like Palaeopsammia but having a patellate corallum.
Remarks
Cairns (2001) doubted its placement as a dendrophylliids, but Baron-Szabo (2002) considered it as such.
