Type Species

Flabellum bisinuatum Reuss, 1854: 81, pl. 16, figs. 11-12.; Original Designation Oppenheim, 1930: 539

Type Specimen: Holotype; ; Verified; Unknown

Type Locality: Upper Turonian-Santonian of Austria (Gosau Group at Gosau).

The holotype of the type species is housed at NHMW (Vienna) under 1864/0040/1213.

Classification

Diagnosis

Solitary. Flabelliform, free. Elongated opposing end costae present. Costosepta compact, exsert, finely granulated laterally. Columella lamellar, thin, continuous, in early ontogenetical stages continuous or discontinuous. Endothecal dissepiments vesicular. Wall septothecal.

  • Southern Europe; Late Cretaceous
