Classification

Diagnosis

Corallum solitary, ceratoid to cylindrical, firmly attached; epitheca thin; septa arranged normally; all septal edges coarsely dentate; columella nondiscrete, spongy; azooxanthellate

Comparisons

Differs from Leptopsammia in having dentate septal margins and a nondiscrete columella.

Remarks

This genus and family were monographed by Cairns (2001), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Three species, none fossil.
