Type Locality: Danian of Egypt.

The lectotype of the type species designated by Baron-Szabo (2008,p. 75) is housed at NRM (Stockholm) under Cn 47523.

Classification

Diagnosis

Solitary, trochoid, fixed. Septa compact, nearly smooth marginally. Columella feebly developed. Paliform lobes opposite third cycle septa. Endothecal dissepiments deep in corallum.

Remarks

Affinities. Similar to Parasmilia but columella feebly developed and paliform lobes opposite 3rd cycle septa.
