Classification
Diagnosis
Corallum solitary, free, and trochoid; costae coarsely granular; epitheca absent; Pourtalès plan present; columella solid.
Comparisons
Differs from Heteropsammia by having granular costae and a solid columella.
Remarks
This genus and family were monographed by Cairns (2001), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Genus monotypic.
